Accounts
Year end accounts provide an insight to how your business has performed over the past year. Companies are required to prepare accounts to comply with Companies House regulations. Profits on sole trader and partnership accounts are used in the preparation of personal tax returns.

Tax
Personal tax returns are prepared after 5th April for individuals and directors. By law, the main reasons to complete a tax return are:
- You are self-employed.
- You are a partner in a partnership.
- You are a company director and/or shareholder.
- You are a landlord with rental property or land.
- A member of your household receives Child Benefit and earns over £50k.
- You receive income from overseas.
- You sell or have given away an asset (i.e. Shares, holiday homes).
- You lived or worked abroad or aren’t a UK resident.
Limited companies are required to complete a corporation tax return based on their business profits. We can prepare the company accounts and tax return so that your company is compliant with HMRC and Companies House requirements.
Bookkeeping
We work with clients to provide a bookkeeping service tailored to your business. We use Xero cloud-based accounting for our clients which is easily accessible, so you can see how your business is performing. We are able to provide monthly management accounts as required.
VAT
Businesses with sales over £85k are required to be registered for VAT. As part of our bookkeeping service, we prepare and submit VAT returns on your behalf.
